The biggest pro of this app was that it enabled you to type words and put them at different angles, the biggest con was not being able to use the app offline. It can be annoying if the wifi is on and off or if you need to work on it in a place where there is no wifi.

Ryan and I want to try Photoshop for our group 5 project. After seeing previous groups do this category we realize that it is easier than we previously thought. This was the reason that we tried to move away and avoid photo shop. The fun part about this project could be that the picture we edit could actually be funny. This would motivate us to actually work on the project. If we do need help we can have zac and josh who just did the project help us with the program.

Ryan and I were planning on making dash knock over bottles in a certain order. We have now however changed our project because we must present to the elementary school. We are now going to do a bowling game for the class. We have made some progress with the coding, which isn’t hard but we need to get used to the app. We will finish up next week. 

We have done some coding with blocks so that should not be an issue. We have never had Dash as a project but we have seen him in action when Zac and Josh were using him. We know how to make Dash move and say things using different apps. Ryan and I have never used Dash before up until this point.

The group that I would most likely be interested in joining for group 4 is Dash. I feel as though practicing coding would be useful, and doing it with Dash definitely makes it seem more fun and enjoyable. I watched Zac and Josh play with Dash and it definitely seems like something both Ryan and I would enjoy.

Some challenges we faced were acquiring a voice to sing the jingle and actually creating the jingle. Making the sounds were easy. Also we ran into a problem where no sound was playing this was fixed by restarting the computer. We are offically done with the project and now need to make the imovie presentation.

Ryan and I have figured out how to successfully use the microphone on his computer and how to add audio to our jingle. We still have not come up with the lyrics to our jingle but have decided to have Ryan’s sister sing the jingle. We tried using audacity but it was not compatable. The addition of audio should not be a problem.

I have been consistently exercising when I can. I am finding it difficult to find time to exercise mixed with football, college applications and school work. I originally set a goal to work out 4-5 times a week but that number has been bumped down to about three days a week. I have however gained four pounds since I first set my goal. Seeing as it is usually difficult for me to gain weight I am not too upset with my progress so far. I will continue to workout when I can and hopefully gain at least three or four more pounds.

A new battery that can bend and twist could power wearable devices and can be evolved to develop a flexible smartphone. The battery has already been tested to withstand, twists, bends and other deformations while still maintaining its charge. Batteries in smartphones now a days can degrade when deformed, this will have an effect on the devices life. Panasonic’s bendable battery uses “a newly developed laminated outer body and internal structure” that the company claims makes it more difficult for the battery to leak or overheat. The battery is just 0.02 inches thick, and was able to withstand being bent so that the curve of the battery has a radius of 25mm, and being twisted up to 25 degrees in tests.

Piano HD is a fairly simple app. It’s just like playing the piano just on your iPad/phone. The cool thing about this app is that it has multiple settings. It can be switched to a harp, guitar, marimba, electric bass or a zither. You have access to the entire piano all you have to do is scroll either left or right to go to the keys you want. The keys are also labeled too which can be useful when learning songs. You can learn any song or create your own either way there is a recording feature that accesses your microphone and allows you to record whatever you want. This app allows you to share your recordings with your friends too. The useful thing about this app is that you can play the piano anywhere you want as long as you bring your device.
